The staff at the DHS Hostel are well aware
that our boarders, being far from parental authority and care, require
nurturing, a routine and a sense of belonging in order to be motivated
and focused in their studies.
Mindful
of the students' affective needs, the hostel requires that the boarders
abide by rules and regulations designed to engender good study habits
and discipline, as well as attend hostel events and special functions
that are held throughout the academic year so that they may bond
with their peers and staff alike.
Popular
hostel activities include barbecue and mass dance evenings, karaoke
competitions, excursions and movie nights.
