FAREWELL DINNER & DANCE
Every year the hostel says a fond farwell to its departing Sec 4 and JC 2 boarders in style with an action-packed evening of dinner, dance, entertainment and prize giving complete with disco lights and the crowning of a new hostel king and queen. HOSTEL ANNIVERSARY DINNER
The Hostel commemorates its anniverary with a special dinner every year. It is a night of celebration enjoyed by all. The following is a short write-up of the 2006 event by hostelite Stephanie Tanojo: The feast was sumptuous -as it always is- and the gathering provided a temporary escape from our hectic school lives. Moreover, with the improved conditions in the dining hall, we were able to enjoy ourselves to the fullest. This event enabled me to catch up on the latest gossip with friends and interact with the teacher mentors. The performances were amazing and they entertained us so much that we almost forgot that it was actually also a farewell party for the SM2 boarders. All in all, it added to the already countless great experiences that the DHS Hostel has given us boarders. $1.6 M HOSTEL RENOVATION In an effort to continually provide the best living conditions for its boarders, the the DHS Hostel will begin an ambitious $1.6 million upgrading project beginning in June 2006. Included in the plan is an architectually enhanced and fully air-conditioned dining area and new and improved computer facilities. DHS HOSTEL KARAOKE COMPETITION The DHS Hostel held its annual karaoke competition on Friday 19th May 2006 with trophies awarded for the best male singer, best female singer and best duet. Held in the DHS auditorium, the event was supported by management, teachers, hostelites, friends and supporters. HOSTEL 4 U: 4th Anniversary Celebration The DHS Hostel commemorated its fourth successful year of operations on Thursday 28th July 2005 with an evening of games and festive platter of food.
